Maryland-based Brewery Opens Landside Pub at Airport; Joins Auntie Anne’s as Recent Addition to the AIRMALL®
BALTIMORE, February 3, 2010 – The full-bodied craft beers of DuClaw Brewing Company are now flowing from the tap at the AIRMALL® at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). BAA Maryland, developer of the AIRMALL® at BWI, is pleased to welcome the Maryland-based brewery and pub chain to the concessions program at the airport.
A full-service restaurant and bar, DuClaw (2,294 sq. ft.) is located landside adjacent to the Southwest Airlines ticketing counter, making it accessible to both airport visitors and ticketed passengers.
“DuClaw is well known in Maryland for its finely crafted brews and tasty pub food. Now that it has opened its newest location at BWI, we know it will become a favorite among both travelers and people who might be visiting the airport,” said Carol Fearns, vice president of BAA Maryland. “Moreover, diners can order a pint, select a full meal from the menu or share some snacks knowing that when the bill comes, they will pay ‘Regular Mall Prices…Guaranteed.’ It’s a hallmark of the AIRMALL®.”
Honored as the number-one craft brewery in Maryland, DuClaw Brewing Company at the AIRMALL® features a host of popular brews for diners, including:
- Misfit Red, a medium-bodied amber ale that has just enough balance and goes well with many foods. This special brew was voted Best Beer in Baltimore twice in the past several years.
- Kangaroo Love, a beer with a crisp, light body and full malt flavor.
- Alchemy, a dark beer that gets its silky smoothness from flaked oats.
Diners seeking a sample of DuClaw’s craft beers can order a DuClaw Sample Platter, featuring mini-servings of the popular beers.
Beyond the craft brews, the DuClaw menu boasts a wide array of wine selections, appetizers, snacks, salads, sandwiches, grilled specialties, soups and pub entrees.
DuClaw Brewing Company has three other Maryland locations – Hanover, Bel Air, and Bowie.
Joining DuClaw is a new full-service Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, located on Concourse B. Seasoned pretzel makers will cut, hand-roll, twist and bake the pretzels, which are made from fresh dough that will be prepared on the premises. Passengers can choose from a variety of flavors.
